YAY! The blast of warm September weather gave us the break we needed to have our Lemon:AID stand at last!
Emma and Sofia from Los Angeles are true LemonAID Warriors! Inspired by Lulu they are motivated to keep working even after the summer ends. In sunny California, it’s always lemonade season! Amazing work, girls.
Here is a pic of our stand! You can read about our lemonade stand experience here: http://www.averageadvocate.com/?p=676
My Lemon:Aid stand on 7/31/11.
Nashville, Tennessee - Lilla, Olivia, and Maeve’s Lemon:aid stand raised $127 for blood:water mission on a hot July afternoon.
Our stand at the Lewis County Fair Parade with friends.
Our VBS at Arbuckle Community Church in California was a Beach Theme and we set up a Lemon:Aid Stand for The Missions & Craft session. The Blood:Water Mission website, brochures, videos & bracelets gave us lots to talk about. We had hands on activities with water, carrying buckets, maps and a Lemonade Cup chart with Ice Cubes to mark each days donations. The kids did a great job raising $340 during the week and then set up their stand at the closing program to serve their parents raising an extra $40. The highlight was finding a coin from Zambia in the money jar! What a GREAT way to teach kids about serving the Lord by helping people in the World! It also gave them a good perspective about how lucky we are and able to share our abundance with others.
